Psalms 138

Thanksgiving for the Lord’s Favor.

A Psalm of David.

1 aI will give You thanks with all my heart;
I will sing praises to You before the bgods.
2I will bow down ctoward Your holy temple
And dgive thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your
Or faithfulness
truth;
For You have fmagnified Your
Or promise
word
Or together with
according to all Your name.
3On the day I icalled, You answered me;
You made me bold with jstrength in my soul.

4 kAll the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O Lord,
When they have heard the words of Your mouth.
5And they will lsing of the ways of the Lord,
For mgreat is the glory of the Lord.
6For nthough the Lord is exalted,
Yet He oregards the lowly,
But the phaughty He knows from afar.

7Though I qwalk in the midst of trouble, You will
Or keep me alive
,
srevive me;
You will tstretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will usave me.
8The Lord will vaccomplish what concerns me;
Your wlovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting;
xDo not forsake the yworks of Your hands.
